Since 1971, OOHNA has been run entirely by and for the professional community of Occupational Health Nurses. We advocate for occupational health and safety and promote excellence in OHS nursing practice. OOHNA is the voice of Occupational Health Nursing in Ontario!
OOHNA brings you exceptional professional development, subject matter experts, salary surveys, networking, conferences, and professional resources including a committed Association Team to support you in your career as an occupational health nurse.
You qualify for membership in OOHNA if you are a Nurse holding a current license and are practicing in a Canadian province or territory.

2023 CNPS Professional Liability Protection for an Ontario RN or RPN is $275 + HST.

Regular OOHNA Member
Become an OOHNA Member if you are:
- A Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse or Nurse Practitioner holding current registration under the Nursing Act 1991 or under any Successor act who practices Occupational Health Nursing in Ontario or resides in Ontario and practices Occupational Health Nursing elsewhere.
Associate Member
Apply as an Associate Member:
- (OUT OF PROVINCE) A Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner currently licensed by their provincial licensing body other than Ontario working in Occupational Health Nursing. Must be licensed to practice in the province of residence.
Retired Member
Apply to become a Retired Member if you are:
- A full member of the Association for the five years immediately preceding the initial application for retired membership in the Association; and you are permanently retired from active employment in nursing.
Student Member
Apply to be a Student Member:
- Student Membership is granted only to a full-time nursing student. Membership is January 1 to December 31 of the same year. Confirmation of enrolment letter required each year in order to renew membership. Email confirmation letter to administration@oohna.on.ca.
